A Life in Motion
Karolina’s path has been anything but ordinary. Born in Poland, she moved to Iceland in 2007, where she spent years working in the hospitality industry as a hotel manager. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the tourism sector, she and her husband made a bold decision to relocate to sunny Spain and start anew.
Her husband, a contractor, began restoring old buildings, while Karolina reinvented herself as a bookkeeper, offering tax services to clients from Iceland, Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Ukraine, and beyond. Despite moving to sunnier surroundings, she remains deeply connected to Iceland, where her three daughters and many life-long friends still live.
Love at First Twirl
Karolina’s introduction to RainSisters came through Instagram, where she was instantly drawn to the elegance of the coats. It was the vintage-inspired silhouettes, resembling a dress, that made her realise she had found something special and unique. She didn’t care about anything else the coat had to offer, the design was the only thing that helped her make up her mind. Karolina needed to buy the coat.
Her first purchase was the Spring Bloom coat, which she bought right before visiting Tallinn, Estonia. And from the moment she put it on, she felt transformed.

“I was immediately wearing it everywhere, because the weather was cold, like in autumn, despite it being August,” remembers Karolina. “My husband kept saying, ‘Why are you wearing it? It’s a raincoat.’ And I told him, ‘’No, it’s not just a raincoat! I can wear it for every occasion.’”
As she attended business meetings with her husband, people took notice. “Icelandic business partners of my husband told me, ‘Karolina, what a nice coat you have! You look like a really elegant woman!’ To me, that was such a surprise and a compliment, because men don’t usually notice such things. I felt amazing. And one of my favourite things about these coats is that I can twirl in them.”
A Coat for Every Occasion
Karolina’s love for RainSisters grew, and before Christmas, she added the Misty Rose coat to her collection. Even in Spain’s mild climate, she wears her coats often, turning heads whenever she goes.

“I always get so many compliments, especially here in Spain. People ask me, 'Where did you get that coat?’ and I always tell them about RainSisters.”

I feel like a princess, despite being almost 45 years old.”

In Karolina’s case, she loves to be unique and stand out. “I wish you’d also make dresses, because there are so many shops selling the same clothes, that you end up having the same things as a million other people. Even her daughters admire her RainSisters collection, with her eldest playfully hinting that she would love to borrow one. But Karolina has made it clear – these are her treasured pieces, and if the girls want to have a RainSisters coat, they will have to buy one for themselves.
