Like all my RainSisters coats, I can't go out in public without getting a compliment. The last was "a vision in purple." Fits true to size (go with the suggested size based on your measurements), luxurious, well-made, and as pretty as can be. I'm almost looking forward to the cooler weather so I can get more wear out of my coat.
It comes in tall and hits in just the right spots. I went to the Amalfi Coast during October so lots of rain and ocean water while on ferries. This coat was warmer than I expected and kept me dry.
I honestly think that trapeze cuts by Rain Sisters are underrated, because the spotlight is always on the fit and flare silhouette. I am here to tell you that there are a lot of advantages to this cut, starting with being able to choose your real size since the waist cut is not as strict - it is flexible. But also it looks beautiful and cheek with the belt!
This particular piece not only spoils you with its rich color that is between maroon and burgundy (depending on light conditions it can both be cool or warm) but the lining is unbelievably thick, that's why sizing up also works with it.
Sadly I bought it during Summer so it is yet to be tested during cold Winter months, but based on my experience with my black trapeze being really warm, I guess with this extra layer of lining this will handle even minuses really well (although I have to add I am not a freezy person). I feel like a real lady when wearing it, thank you so much!
Out of my ordered birthday coats, this was the biggest surprise for me - I love the purple color much more than I thought I would since it can be both a statement with its color, but stays elegant and classy at the same time. Pity that this is the last batch of it, wouldn't want to miss out on this!
I picked M Petite for the advice of the community, even if most of my coats are S or S Petite, and I think it was the right choice as it leaves some room for layering.
This is a standard mid-season coat with rich lining that will definitely keep you warm even within 5-10C. Lots of material comes with the skirt which is beautiful. Even our cat liked me twirling in it! :)
The flower colours look a bit different than on the website, but I like it nevertheless. It's pretty, fits well, a good quality jacket. Tested in rain and stayed dry. Am 165cm and smaller M or S usually, this in regular S fits well.
