The "Ruby Purple" fitted and flared coat is a vintage masterpiece in a stunning shade of dark purple. Its fitted upper section gracefully transitions into a long pleated skirt, giving it a timeless and elegant design. This coat is perfect for fancy events and stylish nights out. It effortlessly adds a touch of class to your look, making you stand out.

The first model is 1,80m (5'11”) and wearing size S.

The second model is 1,76m (5'9”) and wearing size XL.

The third model is 1,72m (5'8”) and wearing size L.

Coat details:

  • the fitted upper section and a long pleated skirt,
  • hidden pockets in the side seams,
  • snap button closure,
  • adjustable hood,
  • full body lining from Italian satin in soft pink,
  • the length of the coat from the base of the neck to the hemline (measuring the back of the coat) is 110cm (43.3in) for size XXS up to 115cm (45in) for size 3XL; petite sizes are 7 cm shorter than regular sizes, and tall sizes are 7 cm longer,
  • waterproof (water-resistant) fabric (10’000 mm - not appropriate for heavy showers), warm and breathable (5000gsm).

Material

Fitted and Flared Coat with Pleated Skirts in Dark Purple

All RainSisters' coats are made from membrane fabric - water resistant (10 000mm), breathable (5 000 gsm) and windproof material. Fabric composition: 94% polyester, 6% polyamide. No harmful PFAS used during the fabric production process.

Please note that the water resistance level of 10 000mm means that our coats can withstand 1-2 hours in a light rain/snow, or approximately 30 minutes in a moderate shower, without letting water come through. Our coats are not appropriate for heavy rain or showers!

Currently the available coats are made from two types of membrane fabric - light shell and soft shell. 

Light shell fabric

Since the collection of Spring | Summer 2024 we introduce the light shell membrane fabric. It is more lighter and thiner, it does not have the warmer fleece inner layer as soft shell fabric do. Coats made from light shell material is more appropriate for warmer weather. We suggest wearing these coats in temperatures ranging from +10°C (50°F) up to +25°C(77°F). Currently we offer four styles made out of light shell - 'Minty Meadow', 'Graceful Grey', 'Timeless Black' and 'Powder Dream'.  

Soft shell fabric

Since the very beginning of RainSisters brand the main fabric we use to create most of the coats are the soft shell membrane fabric. It is thicker than light shell fabric due to the inner fleece layer. The warm fleece inner layer makes these styles more appropriate for colder weather. We suggest wearing these coats in temperatures ranging from 0°C (32°F) up to +20°C(68°F).

Lining

As for the inner lining a high-quality, extra soft and durable Italian satin (100% polyester) are used. The lining agrees to OEKO-TEX standard and during the fabric production cycle the use of water and chemicals is reduced as well as the wastage is avoided. 

 

Care

  • Professional dry clean

          OR

  • Wash on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C (86°F);
  • Use hand wash if necessary for stains;
  • Do not use any type of softening liquids;
  • Do not tumble dry;
  • Do not bleach;
  • Do not iron.

      Elegant, confortable and waterproof

      I have been wearing my coat for over a month now. It accompanied me on my trips to Poland and France, and it was perfect. The coat is well made, and the finishes are flawless. The quality is so good that I can tell I will keep it in good condition for many years. It is warm, comfortable, waterproof, and very elegant. The color matches the pictures exactly. The size is perfect. I am more than happy with it.

      Absolutely beautiful coat

      I got this coat a few months ago and I absolutely love it. Nicely shaped and flattering. I've been saying for a long time that someone should make outerwear with technical fabrics but using colors and cuts that don't make you look like you're dressed for camping, and Rainsisters has done it perfectly. For those wondering "how warm is this coat", it's too warm for a lot of the year in North Carolina, but I will be using it as a winter coat for our wintry months which are often rainy. I hope they expand to making more colors in the lighter weight fabric.

      I feel so beautiful in this coat, it's perfect. I got XL a bit tight, but okay for me. I don't need a big sweater underneath because the coat is warm. Perfect for rainy days.
      I have it a week now and got asked about it 3 times.

      Really great coat

      The coat is really lovely - I got it in the sale ready for autumn and not expecting to wear it for quite a while but then we had some awful June weather in the UK so it got used much sooner. It's beautifully made and hangs brilliantly, plus stood up to a full half hour walking through solid London rain no problem. I love it!

      This is a beautiful coat, bought in the summer sale, so not had chance to wear yet. But definitely something to look forward to when the weather gets cold. The quality is amazing, and the fit great, I am a 10/12 and M is great fit.

      Ma nouvelle merveille pour danser sous la pluie

      J'avais déjà le bleu pris en XS. Il était très cintré et je ne pouvais pas porter de pull en-dessous ce qui n'est pas grave car j'avais opté pour ce coloris pour l'été. Celui-ci je l'ai pris en S. Il reste très cintré mais je pense que mes pulls passeront. L'encolure est differente de celle du bleu. Je suis plus que ravie de ces achats complementaires et bien utiles pour ma région pluvieuse.
