“Being a coat brand in Northern Europe with freezing temperatures for up to five months, one could say that a winter coat makes a great addition to our product range,” says Zane, one of the three RainSisters founders, in charge of all finance questions.
“It took several years to find the best combination of design, materials, and functionality. The result is a winter coat collection that fits perfectly alongside our versatile autumn and spring lines.”
The launch marks an exciting milestone for RainSisters – a brand that began as a small family business and has since grown into a global name synonymous with elegant waterproof coats for women.
The Sophisticated ‘Winter Maroon’
The ‘Winter Maroon’ coat captures the heart of the season. It’s deep, rich, and effortlessly elegant. Designed for warmth and sophistication, it features a straight, double-breasted silhouette with a detachable hood and an attached scarf that can be wrapped, draped, or left to fall freely.
The luxurious maroon-red fabric has a soft, velvety finish and offers waterproof protection up to 10 000 mm, ensuring comfort even in snow or freezing rain. A matching belt flatters the waist, while a smooth black Italian satin lining (made from recycled polyester) adds a refined touch.
“It was our long-dreamed dream to start producing coats suitable for colder weather,” shares Zaiga, co-founder and sister in charge of manufacturing and quality control. “The ‘Winter Maroon’ adds something new to our classic aesthetic – the scarf allows you to change the look every day, and the fabric gives a cosy feeling perfect for the cold season.”
Made for temperatures ranging from –15°C to +5°C, this full-length coat (135 cm) is the statement piece you’ll reach for on every cold day. It’s elegant, warm, and endlessly versatile.
The Classy ‘Obsidian Frost’
As the name already suggests, ‘Obsidian Frost’ is the embodiment of quiet strength and timeless elegance. Its deep black hue and hourglass silhouette make it a sophisticated choice for women who value both fashion and functionality.
With a detachable hood, matching belt, and insulated lining, this coat blends luxury with practicality. The waterproof, breathable fabric feels as soft as wool but is durable enough for daily wear. Inside, smooth Italian satin (made from recycled polyester) ensures warmth without compromise.
“Our customers have been requesting winter coats for quite some time,” explains Zanda, co-founder and the CEO of RainSisters. “When we found a fabric that felt like wool but was waterproof and breathable, we knew we had found the perfect material. ‘Obsidian Frost’ captures that classic RainSisters aesthetic – timeless, feminine, and ready for cold.”
