Do you ever wonder - what is the right way to clean your coat? Actually it depends from different aspects: coat material, lining material, colouring of the coat, fabric composition and more. There is big difference between washing wool, cotton or polyester coat.
So to make it more easier for you, here is the care instructions for RainSisters waterproof coats (and it's quite easy!).
- Wash the coat delicately in washing machine in maximum 30 degrees. Use hand wash if necessary for stains;
- Do not use the softening liquids!!! Chemicals in fabric softener can break down the composition of the fibres with each wash and strip the fabric of its waterproof coating. For the best result we suggest to wash our coats with special detergents ('Nikwax', 'Grangers', 'Mountain Warehouse' or other similar detergent). That will allow the fabric to maintain the best possible waterproof and breathability indicators;
- Don not tumble dry the coat. Best if you just let it to air dry;
- Do not bleach the coat;
- Do not iron the coat. The ironing destroys the fabric fibres. Instead, if your coat is a bit crumbled hang it on the clothing hanger and after an hour or so it will be perfectly "ironed".
