The 'Raven Red' women's coat is a classic solid black beauty with a full-volume flare cut skirt. Embrace its feminine silhouette's graceful sway, offering comfort and style. Coat details:

  • feminine silhouette with a full-volume (full-circle)  flare skirt,
  • hidden pockets in the side seams,
  • snap button closure,
  • full body lining from Italian satin in bright red, 
  • length of the coat from the base of the neck to the hemline (measuring at the back of the coat) is 100cm (39.4in) for size XS up to 103cm (40.5in) for size 3XL; petite sizes are 7 cm shorter than regular sizes, and tall sizes are 7 cm longer,
  • waterproof (water-resistant) fabric (10’000 mm - not appropriate for heavy showers), warm and breathable (5000gsm),

Material

Fit and Flare Coat with Full Circle skirt in Black and Red

This coat is made from membrane fabric that is water-resistant (10,000 mm), breathable (5,000 gsm), and windproof. The fabric composition is 94% polyester and 6% polyamide. No harmful PFAS was used during the fabric production process.

Please note: The water resistance rating of 10,000 mm means the coat can withstand light rain or snow for 1-2 hours or a moderate shower for about 30 minutes. This coat is not appropriate for heavy rain or showers!

Softshell fabric

This coat is made from softshell fabric. It is thicker than light shell fabric due to the inner fleece layer, which makes this style more appropriate for colder weather. We suggest wearing these coats in temperatures ranging from 0°C (32°F) up to +20°C(68°F).

Lining

As for the inner lining, a high-quality, extra soft, and durable Italian satin (100% polyester) is used. The lining agrees to the OEKO-TEX standard and during the fabric production cycle, the use of water and chemicals is reduced as well as the wastage is avoided.

      High quality, cute, warm, heavy, dr. robotnik

      I splurged on this because I needed to replace my decade-old, deteriorating Marmot rain jacket, it was on sale, and it's the closest coat I've been able to find that looks like the one Jim Carey wore in the first Sonic movie as Dr. Robotnik.

      It's high quality and gets great coverage in the rain, and has even protected myself from simply spilling drinking water on myself (so cute). I'm about 5' 4" and the length perfectly ends so that when I walk on stairs, it floats just above the stairs and doesn't hit them.

      It's a bit heavy, but it's nice in a weighted blanket kind of way. Paired with a warm scarf, and tall boots it has been warm enough in 45+ F degree weather, but not too hot for 65 F degree weather.

      The hood could offer slightly more coverage above the face, but it's still decent and I love the pull straps on the sides, which I've never seen before. There are two slits on either side of the hood with a loop of string inside and both sides have the little pulley button lock things so they stay in place. This is instead of the usual loose hanging hoodie strings that sometimes get lost inside of the hood or pulled out altogether. This is a very elegant design solution for that.

      I bought a medium and I have a medium-thin, flat chested build (about 130 lbs). This jacket offers just enough room for an additional thin sweater or shirt layer on top of an existing shirt, but I think it would be a little stuffed if I tried to wear a hoodie underneath. I haven't needed to test this out though :) Like others have said, I do wish the pockets were a little larger, or that there was an inside pocket, but I've been able to stuff a wallet and phone into a single pocket (not much space for a hand after that).

      Black flare coat with silky red lining

      I bought this coat in November and I love it so much already. Perfect for rainy Irish weather and it's so feminine, so pretty, even has red silky lined pockets. It attracts a lot of admiration. I just feel so glamorous, like a film star when I wear it. It's my happy coat 😃 Keep up the great work Rainsisters!

      I bought this as a splurge gift to myself before moving countries. While I have not experienced rainy season here yet it’s been amazing on the few rainy days and windy cool days we have experienced in Japan. Amazing quality and I always get compliments whenever I wear this.

      The quality of this coat is absolutely amazing. I always get a lot of compliments about it (and some people were convinced to buy one for themselves!).
      I was afraid that I was going to be cold in it but it never happened, and of course it’s absolutely rain proof. It is my everyday coat even if sometimes I feel that it should be worn only for special occasions… but then I say “everyday is a special occasion” so who cares? Maybe one day I’ll buy another one…
