Material
Material
All RainSisters' coats are made from membrane fabric - water resistant (10 000mm), breathable (5 000 gsm) and windproof material. Fabric composition: 94% polyester, 6% polyamide. No harmful PFAS used during the fabric production process.
Please note that the water resistance level of 10 000mm means that our coats can withstand 1-2 hours in a light rain/snow, or approximately 30 minutes in a moderate shower, without letting water come through. Our coats are not appropriate for heavy rain or showers!
Currently the available coats are made from two types of membrane fabric - light shell and soft shell.
Light shell fabric
Since the collection of Spring | Summer 2024 we introduce the light shell membrane fabric. It is more lighter and thiner, it does not have the warmer fleece inner layer as soft shell fabric do. Coats made from light shell material is more appropriate for warmer weather. We suggest wearing these coats in temperatures ranging from +10°C (50°F) up to +25°C(77°F). Currently we offer four styles made out of light shell - 'Minty Meadow', 'Graceful Grey', 'Timeless Black' and 'Powder Dream'.
Soft shell fabric
Since the very beginning of RainSisters brand the main fabric we use to create most of the coats are the soft shell membrane fabric. It is thicker than light shell fabric due to the inner fleece layer. The warm fleece inner layer makes these styles more appropriate for colder weather. We suggest wearing these coats in temperatures ranging from 0°C (32°F) up to +20°C(68°F).
Lining
As for the inner lining a high-quality, extra soft and durable Italian satin (100% polyester) are used. The lining agrees to OEKO-TEX standard and during the fabric production cycle the use of water and chemicals is reduced as well as the wastage is avoided.

I was so excited when the package arrived that I immediately opened it and tried the jacket on. It was love at first fit. The fit is perfect, the quality of the jacket is immediately noticeable, and it's incredibly soft.
At first I thought the jacket might be too hot during the day, considering the type of weather we have in the south of Portugal; however, after regular use and after experiencing heavy rain in the past few weeks, I noticed the jacket held up very well, and it was very easy to transition from day to night even with higher temperature drops. I also noticed that it dried quickly after a heavy rainfall, which is another plus.
Overall, in a short time frame, my Rainsisters jacket has become my favorite jacket (and my boyfriend loves it too).

Love my short coat. I ordered a Small petite as my long coat fit perfect. However my short coat feels a bit smaller. Didn’t want to exchange it as I have to pay duty fees to get it exchanged.
I already had a longer coat, which I love, but can get in the way of cycling. This short version is adorable and very versatile with different looks. I hope they get even more colour options of this version and potentially a version with a lighter fabric, so I can wear it during warmer weather too!
I absolutely love this jacket. It looks good with both high heels and sneakers, which I really like. So I can also wear it in spring and summer. As it's so nice and comfortable, I also wear it on days when it's not raining. Hopefully this jacket will be available in more colors soon!
I love this coat and I know, because of its timeless style, I will be wearing it for many years. The coat is beautiful quality, the press studs hold very well, the hood doesn’t feel detachable but is. I made sure I checked all my measurements against the size chart and it is a perfect fit. If you are unsure then take this as a sign to buy. You won’t regret it!
I love this shorter rain jacket. As well as being stylish it fits well and is lined in black satin. It has a hood that can be removed if you choose. The water proofing is excellent. This is my new go to rain jacket for slacks and sportier looks. Make certain you use the size chart to get the right fit. I have two rain jackets from Rain Sisters and the fit perfectly at the waist. The quality is excellent and well worth the prices.

I received my black jacket in a very timely manner. It was too big and felt heavier than my RainSister full length coat.. It was a little flat in style without a contrasting lining as well. I was disappointed so I returned it. I will keep an eye out for a different color or maybe one with a contrasting lining that gives the coat that something special. I love the quality of RainSister coats more sales and colors.please!
